Who is Zama?

Hello, my name is Joshua Lizama, and I’m the owner of Zama Renovations.

As a soon-to-be father of three young children, I understand firsthand the importance of having trustworthy, dependable professionals in your home.

As a third-generation carpenter, I was raised in a family of builders and problem-solvers. By the age of 22, I was working on high-rise construction projects in Manhattan, specializing in structural framing for the reputable firm Primo Remodeling. Over five years, I advanced to fine finish work, gaining invaluable experience in precision and craftsmanship.

When my wife and I were expecting our first child, we relocated to Florida, where I joined West Shore Home—a company known for its efficient, 24-hour bathroom remodels. During my time there, I progressed from technician to lead technician, and eventually into a measurement specialist role in the office—all within two years.

After our time in Florida, my family and I moved to North Carolina. Motivated by a vision to combine the high standards of a large company with the personal attention, flexibility, and community connection of a small business, I founded Zama Renovations.
